Overview

The MDCAT 2026 result is out for Punjab and Sindh, and the next stage is the merit list. The test took place on 20 September 2026, after PMDC moved it from the original 16 August date. Results are announced by the university that conducted the test in your province, not by one national portal.

Which results are already declared

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore announced the Punjab result on 24 September 2026, four days after the test. Of 47,475 candidates who appeared, 37,708 qualified for MBBS and 40,457 qualified for BDS. That is 79.43% for MBBS and 85.22% for BDS.

Sukkur IBA Testing Services announced the Sindh result on 28 September 2026. About 33,336 candidates appeared in Sindh. That result is now under a federal review, which we explain in our separate post on the Sindh MDCAT inquiry.

If you sat the test in another region, your result comes from the body that conducted it there. Check that body's official website and the PMDC portal.

How to check your MDCAT 2026 result

  1. Identify which university conducted your test. Your admit card names it.
  2. Open that university's official results page. For Punjab this is the UHS results portal.
  3. Select the entry test category and choose MDCAT 2026. Do not click the MBBS or BDS buttons, which are for university exams of enrolled students.
  4. Enter your roll number (and name or CNIC if asked). Enter your CNIC without dashes when a form asks for it.
  5. Download or screenshot your score card and keep a printed copy for admissions.

A frequent mistake is searching the wrong province's site. A UHS search will not show a candidate who sat the test in Sindh.

Qualifying marks

Reported minimums are 55% for MBBS (99 out of 180) and 50% for BDS (90 out of 180). Some older pages still show 65% and 55%, so rely on the current prospectus of the university you are applying to.

What happens after the result

The result only tells you that you are eligible. Admission depends on your aggregate, which combines Matric, FSc and MDCAT marks, and on the seats available.

  1. Check your score and verify there is no data error. Apply for correction within the stated window.
  2. Calculate your aggregate using the 10/40/50 formula.
  3. Watch for the admission prospectus and online application window on the university portal.
  4. Submit your preferences for colleges in order of priority.
  5. Wait for the provisional merit list, then the final merit list and college-wise selection lists.
  6. Pay fees and submit documents within the deadline once you are selected.

As of 12 October 2026, no prospectus, application dates or merit list dates had been confirmed in the sources checked. Do not rely on unofficial dates.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Trusting social media screenshots of "merit lists".
  • Missing the application window because you were waiting for the merit list.
  • Entering wrong domicile or board details in the application, which can cost you a seat.
