What is DIFF. MDCAT?

DIFF. is a browser-based MDCAT preparation platform with chapter-wise practice MCQs, past papers, Physics notes and formula sheets. Choose topics and a test length, practise in Tutor Mode or Timed Exam, then review the questions, answer key and explanations. You can use it on a phone or computer without installing an app.

How many practice MCQs and chapters are available?

50,635 practice MCQs are available across 61 chapters: biology: 16 chapters and 16,053 MCQs; chemistry: 20 chapters and 14,313 MCQs; physics: 16 chapters and 12,278 MCQs; english: 3 chapters and 6,336 MCQs; logical reasoning: 6 chapters and 1,655 MCQs. These are bank totals; each custom test draws up to 180 questions from your selected topics.

Which MDCAT past papers are available?

The current archive contains 10,894 questions across UHS, KPK/KMU, NUMS, Sindh and BUMHS collections. UHS contributes 3,107, KPK 3,682, NUMS 940, Sindh 2,786 and BUMHS 379. Open Past Papers and select a board and year to see the available paper; counts describe the imported archive, not the official length of every exam.

How do I choose my own MCQ topics and quiz length?

Open Practice MCQs, select a subject and chapter, and choose the topics to include. Set any question count from 1 up to 180, limited by the number available in those topics. Choose Tutor Mode or Timed Exam and start the test. You can practise chapters in any order rather than following fixed numbered quizzes.

How are Tutor Mode and Timed Exam different?

Tutor Mode shows feedback and explanations after each answer selection; you can change or clear an answer while practising. Timed Exam runs a countdown and reveals explanations after submission. Both modes support question navigation, a paper map, and a complete review when you submit.

Can I download my complete quiz review as a PDF?

Yes. Select Submit Quiz and confirm with Submit & View Explanations, then use Download PDF on the review page. The review includes every question from that attempt, options, your answer, the marked correct answer when a key exists, and explanations. Download Review also saves an HTML copy. If your browser does not start the PDF download automatically, use Save prepared PDF.

Are English vocabulary quizzes separate from grammar practice?

Yes. English chapter practice covers its selectable syllabus topics, while the vocabulary section contains 200 synonym questions in short quizzes. Use the vocabulary notes to revise meanings and synonyms, then test recall without looking at the wordlist. Vocabulary questions are counted separately from the chapter practice total.

Does every Physics MCQ have an interactive simulation?

No. The separate Physics Labs collection has 640 simulation questions. The chapter practice bank is larger and focuses on topic selection, MCQs and explanations. Physics notes, worked examples and formula guides provide another way to revise the underlying concepts.

Is DIFF. free, and do I need to sign in?

The practice questions, notes and quiz reviews are accessible without payment. You can start a quiz without signing in. Use the site's sign-in option for account-related features such as progress and leaderboard participation; use the same account when switching devices.

How should I use MCQs and past papers in a study plan?

Revise a textbook topic, take a short tutor drill, and record why you missed each incorrect or uncertain answer. Revisit those concepts before trying a timed drill or past paper. Review both correct and incorrect answers, since a correct guess does not prove understanding. Match your preparation to the latest syllabus and instructions published by PMDC and your examining university.

Also: Physics notes, formula sheet, 16-day plan, all guides.

Your MDCAT preparation guide

MDCAT online practice: choose your platform and build a study routine.

Looking for the best MDCAT online platform or the best practice platform for MDCAT? Start with the resources that help you learn from every attempt. DIFF. MDCAT offers 50,635 chapter-practice MCQs across 61 units, alongside past papers, a dedicated NUMS practice area, and revision guides. This guide explains how to use those tools for focused preparation at home, on your phone, or on a computer.

What makes the best MDCAT online platform for your preparation?

The best MDCAT online platform for you should make it easier to understand a topic, practise it independently, and learn from the questions you miss. A large question bank is useful, but question organisation, clear explanations, and a manageable study routine matter just as much. Look for a platform that lets you find the right subject and chapter quickly, choose a suitable quiz length, and review your work after an attempt.

DIFF. MDCAT brings chapter-wise practice, available past papers, tutor quizzes, timed tests, and revision resources into one browser-based workspace. It is designed to support active practice alongside your textbooks and class notes. Try a short quiz before deciding whether a platform fits your needs: check the wording, read the explanations, test the navigation on your phone, and see whether the review helps you identify a concept to revise next.

  • Relevant chapters and selectable topics, so your practice follows what you are studying.
  • Answers and explanations that help you understand the reasoning behind an option.
  • Tutor and timed modes for learning concepts and practising under a countdown.
  • A complete attempt review and a readable experience on both mobile and desktop.

How to choose the best practice platform for MDCAT self-study

When comparing the best practice platform for MDCAT, focus on what happens after you answer a question. A score tells you how many answers were right; an explanation helps you decide what to study next. Useful practice should expose the difference between a concept you understand, a formula you have forgotten, and an answer you guessed. Review correct guesses as carefully as mistakes, because recognising an option is not always the same as being able to explain it.

For self-study, start with a chapter you have recently revised and choose a small set of questions. In Tutor Mode, use the feedback to check your reasoning and return to the relevant textbook paragraph when necessary. After you have worked through the topic, attempt a timed quiz without checking your notes. DIFF. lets you choose topics and question counts, so you can build a focused drill rather than scrolling through an unrelated collection of MCQs.

Free chapter-wise and topic-wise MDCAT MCQs with explanations

Chapter-wise MDCAT MCQs are useful when you want to connect a textbook lesson with the way it is tested. Topic-wise practice makes that process more precise: instead of repeating an entire subject, you can work on the particular idea that needs attention. Use the subject pages to open a chapter, choose the topics you want to include, and set the number of questions available for that selection. Short drills are easier to review fully than a long session that leaves no time for feedback.

The DIFF. practice area covers Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning, with English vocabulary available as a separate revision resource. The public chapter practice questions can be attempted without payment. Question-bank totals describe the resources currently available on the site; your selected quiz draws from the topics you choose. Keep the latest syllabus published by your examining authority beside your study plan and use it to decide which topics deserve priority.

Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Logical Reasoning practice

For MDCAT Biology MCQs, revise definitions, relationships, sequences, and the exceptions that make two options appear similar. After an incorrect answer, write a short explanation in your own words rather than copying the correct option alone. In Chemistry, separate recall questions from calculations and conceptual comparisons. Check the conditions in the stem, the units in numerical questions, and the reason a tempting alternative does not apply.

For MDCAT Physics MCQs, identify the quantities given, choose the relevant relationship, and check units before calculating. The Physics notes and formula guides can support that revision. English grammar practice is most useful when you can name the rule behind a sentence, while vocabulary drills help you revisit meanings and synonyms. In Logical Reasoning, explain the pattern or inference before choosing an option. These subject-specific habits make your next quiz more informative than simply chasing a higher score.

Online MDCAT practice tests: Tutor Mode and timed quizzes

Tutor Mode and timed MDCAT practice tests serve different stages of preparation. Use Tutor Mode while learning or repairing a concept: answer the question, read the available explanation, and compare it with your reasoning. Do not rush to the next question just because the correct answer is visible. Ask yourself what clue in the stem makes that answer fit and what change to the question would make another option correct.

A timed quiz is better suited to testing independent recall and pacing. Choose a question count and duration that fit your current practice goal, then work without looking up answers. Explanations become available after submission, allowing you to review the attempt as a whole. Increase the size of your sessions gradually and follow your actual examination's current instructions when rehearsing an exam. A custom online quiz is a practice tool, so its settings should reflect the skill you want to improve.

MDCAT past papers with answers for UHS and provincial preparation

MDCAT past papers help you become familiar with how questions are worded, how topics are combined, and which details you overlook under pressure. DIFF. has available UHS, NUMS, KPK/KMU, Sindh, and BUMHS paper collections. Open the past-paper area and choose an available board and year. Keep the source and exam context in mind: historical papers are useful practice, but an older paper should not be treated as a statement of today's syllabus or test format.

Attempt a paper or a manageable section before studying its answers. During review, separate errors caused by missing knowledge from those caused by reading too quickly or using the wrong method. Revisit the corresponding chapter, then try a fresh set of topic-wise MCQs. This creates a practical link between past-paper practice and concept revision. An answer from a familiar paper is only useful when you can still explain it without relying on memory of the option order.

NUMS online mock tests and a dedicated practice question bank

If you are preparing for NUMS as well as MDCAT, keep the two practice goals distinct. The NUMS area on DIFF. provides a dedicated question bank and mock-test workflow, while the main Practice area is organised around MDCAT subjects, chapters, and topics. Use the NUMS section for its own mock-test settings and review tools, and consult the latest NUMS instructions when planning your preparation. Similar subject names do not mean that two examinations have identical requirements.

Use a NUMS mock attempt to identify where your preparation needs more work, then return to targeted study before taking another paper. Review the explanations, note the topics behind uncertain answers, and use the study guides for a more structured routine. Moving between a mock test and focused revision is more useful than repeatedly taking full papers without analysing them. You can reach the NUMS practice area directly from the link below and find related preparation guides in the blog.

A practical routine for MDCAT preparation at home

An online MDCAT preparation platform is most useful when it fits into a repeatable routine. Begin each session with a specific target, such as revising one Biology process, a Chemistry calculation method, or a Physics relationship. Study that material in your textbook or class notes before opening a quiz. After practice, leave enough time to read the explanations and record the reason for each mistake. Your revision list should describe concepts, not just question numbers.

On a later day, revisit the same topic without your notes and attempt another short drill. When you can explain your answers consistently, mix related topics or move to a timed session. Use the length of the session that you can review properly, rather than treating a large MCQ count as the only measure of progress. The sequence below works alongside an academy or an independent study plan and can be repeated for each subject.

  • Revise: read a defined textbook topic and recall the main ideas without looking.
  • Practise: choose that chapter and topic, then attempt a focused Tutor Mode quiz.
  • Review: explain mistakes and correct guesses, and note what you need to revisit.
  • Retest: try a fresh drill later, then use timed practice to check recall and pacing.

MDCAT practice on mobile and desktop, with complete quiz review

Browser-based MDCAT practice lets you use a short break for a focused drill and a longer desktop session for detailed review. DIFF. can be opened on a phone or computer without installing an app. Before a timed attempt, choose a setting where you can concentrate and check that the question text, answer options, and timer are comfortable to read. For questions with formulas or calculations, keep paper beside you so that working through a problem remains part of the exercise.

After submitting an attempt, use the complete quiz review to revisit questions, your selections, marked answers, and available explanations. The review offers PDF and HTML saving options for later revision. Keep a small error log alongside those files and return to the underlying topics rather than only memorising the review. Start with the Practice area for chapter drills, use Past Papers for exam-style questions, and open NUMS when your study session is specifically focused on that examination.
