One Roman a day, then retry

How to Prepare MDCAT Physics 2026 — A Chapter-Wise Plan

You do not need a new book. You need a door list, a rule (lock, then look), and sixteen sittings. This is a chapter-wise plan for MDCAT Physics 2026 that uses the complete PMDC quiz bank on Physics Lab.

The only three rules

  1. Do one PMDC unit per day in chapter order. Electronics and Spectra are forty questions — give them a longer day, or split junction / rectifier and emission / series.
  2. Lock before you look. Write the formula on paper. Then open the lab.
  3. Retry the same unit the next morning before starting the new one. Letters will have moved. That is the point.

A 16-day MDCAT Physics plan

If you have a month, do the 16 days twice: first pass for coverage, second pass for speed. If you have two weeks, do it once and keep a miss list of theft patterns (missing ½, swapped sin/cos, intensity for energy).

What to do on a miss

Do not highlight the question. Write the trap sentence in a notebook as a pattern: ‘parallel-sum of vectors’, ‘Vm/ on a full-wave’, ‘three half-lives → 1/3’. Patterns transfer; exact sentences do not.

If a whole topic leaks (projectiles, RC, Balmer), re-read that section of the unit guide, work the numericals on paper, then retry only after a night’s sleep.

Last week before the paper

Stop adding sources. Walk Units 1–16 in order, one or two a day, no new notes. Skim the formula sheet once. Skim the traps guide once. Sleep.

Photons are Electronics is diodes, not transistors. Nuclear is a clock you cannot hurry. That is enough theology.

FAQ

Common questions

How large is the current MDCAT Physics practice bank?

DIFF. currently has 12,278 Physics practice MCQs across 16 chapters. The separate Physics Labs collection contains 640 questions with interactive simulations. Practice-bank counts and simulation counts are separate; not every practice MCQ has a unique lab.

Can I choose my own Physics topics and test length?

Yes. Open any Physics chapter, choose the topics you want to revise, and set a test length up to 180 questions or the selected-topic total, whichever is smaller. Use a small focused drill for a weak concept and a longer timed drill to practise pacing. Chapters can be opened in any order.

Are Physics tests timed, and when can I see answers?

Choose Tutor Mode for explanations after each selection or Timed Exam for a countdown and explanations after submission. Submit Quiz opens the confirmation screen; Submit & View Explanations opens the complete review. You can use the paper map to revisit unanswered or flagged questions before submitting.

How should I combine formula sheets, notes and MCQs?

Read the relevant chapter notes first, then write the formula with its conditions and units. Solve a short drill without looking at the sheet, review mistakes, and check whether the error came from the concept, unit conversion or arithmetic. Return to a timed drill after you can explain why the correct option works.

Should I always use in Physics numericals?

Use the value of gravitational acceleration specified in the question. Some worked examples in these guides use m/s² for simpler arithmetic; a question that gives ² must be solved with 9.8. Keep units consistent and avoid rounding intermediate calculations unnecessarily.

Can I save the complete Physics quiz review?

Yes. Submit the test to open its review, then choose Download PDF or Download Review. The saved review contains the questions from that attempt, answer choices, your answers, available correct keys and explanations. Keep it as an error log and revisit the topics you missed.
